NIH:AD 1659: In Florida, 10,000 Timuacans, Apalachee, Pensacola, Tocobaga, Calusa, Tequesta, Jeaga, Jobe, and Ais die from measles. Since 1492, these Native peoples have suffered steady population decline caused by epidemics.” (NIH)
