Narrative Information

“…absorption of poisonous gas caused 2,095 deaths, 469 of which occurred in garages as a result of carbon monoxide gas. Of the total deaths from poisonous gas, the greatest number occurred in January.” (p. 48.) 

A footnote in Table BK notes that item No. 178 “Absorption of Poisonous Gas,” included “469 deaths from carbon monoxide gas from automobiles in garages.” (p. 49.)
