 Nov 7: “Pipestone, Minn. (UP) The death toll from a collision between a gravel truck and a crowded passenger car rose to eight today when Elmer Barnes, 21, Pipestone, driver of the truck, died in a hospital. Killed when the two vehicles crashed were Iver Bohnhoff, 35, Bruce, S. D., and his wife and two-year-old daughter; Henry Graham, 42, Pipestone, Minn., and his seven-year-old son and Lee Wood, 27, Volga, S. Nov 7:  “Pipestone. Minn. Nov. 7. — (UP) — Eight persons were dead and another was in critical condition today because of a collision between an automobile carrying a funeral party and a truck at an intersection near here.

 

“Pipestone. Minn., Nov. 7. – (UP) Seven persons were dead and two others were in critical condition today because of a collision between an automobile carrying a funeral party and a truck at an intersection only 20 miles from the scene of the nation’s worst automobile crash last April in which 12 youths were killed.  The dead were Iver Bonhoff, 35, Bruce. S. D. and his wile and two-year-old daughter; Henry Graham, 42, Pipestone, Minn., and his seven-year-old son; and Lee Wood, 77, Volga, S. D., and his two-year-old daughter. Woods wife was in critical condition and Elmer Barnes, Pipestone, driver of the truck, was expected to die.

 

“Sheriff Herman Heesch said Graham was taking the party home in his automobile after attending the funeral for his mother-in-law. Nov 8: “Pipestone, Nov. 8 (UP) – The ninth victim of Minnesota’s second worst traffic accident died last night. Mrs. Lee Wood, Volga, S. D., died a little more than 24 hours after the collision between an automobile and a truck. She was the final survivor of the accident which happened within 20 miles of the scene of the nation’s worst pleasure car accident at Slayton last April.
