May 13, INS: “MacDill Field, Fla. (INS). The crash of a B-29 bomber while on a routine training flight cost the lives of nine fliers and injured two others Friday night [11th], the MacDill field public relations office announced Saturday. The victims included Cpl. Arthur M. Dantzler, Burbank, Calif., and Cpl. Jack G.
