March 5, AP: “Baltimore, March 2. (AP) – Pvt. Joseph Trimble of Lancaster, Pa., died today, raising to six the number killed in a head-on collision on the Washington Boulevard early last Tuesday. Three other soldiers at Fort Meade, Md., and two Baltimore cab drivers died earlier.

“State Police had wheeled around to chase an 80-mile-an-hour car zipping down the four-lave highway when they heard a crash. Minutes later they saw that the speeding car had collided with a cab at the south end of the Patapsco River bridge, about six miles southwest of Baltimore.
