Nov 24: “A Southern Bell lineman was electrocuted Friday [Nov 22] while trying to repair a telephone cable on Ramrod Key….Patrick Link, 51, of Marathon…was electrocuted around mid-day Friday in what officials term a ‘freak accident.”…Link was working in an elevated bucket that somehow hot tangled up in one of the wires connected to the utility pole….” (Key West Citizen. “Pole accident electrocutes Bell lineman.” 11-24-1985, p. 1.)
