Narrative Information

CNN 2005: “Wichita, Kansas (CNN) — Dennis Rader, the BTK serial killer who terrorized the Wichita area from the 1970s to the 1990s, pleaded guilty Monday [June 27] and described in cool and dispassionate detail how he killed 10 people to satisfy his sexual fantasies.

“Rader, 60, entered the plea on what was supposed to be the first day of his jury trial, saying a long and drawn out trial would only result in his guilt at the end….” (CNN Law Center. “Rader details how he killed 10 people.” 6-28-2005.)

Onlyinyourstate.com: “Between 1974 to 1991, the B.T.K. (Bind, Torture, Kill) Killer tormented Sedgwick County through a series of heinous murders. After his tenth murder in 1991, B.T.K. was suddenly silent, only to reemerge in 2004, leading to the arrest and conviction of Dennis Rader. He is currently serving ten life sentences at the El Dorado Correctional Facility.” (Onlyinyourstate.com: “These 10 Famous Homicides in Kansas Will Never Be Forgotten — No. 5 “‘B.T.K.’” 1-5-2016.)
